Participate in a Research Study
We are actively looking for individuals with spinal cord injury to participate in research studies involving upper limb function and non-invasive brain stimulation. Research participants will be compensated for their time. Click here for further study details and inclusion criteria.
Become a Graduate Student
Graduate students are the backbone of our research lab, and we are always looking for talented individuals to strengthen our team. The number and types of positions vary from year to year. If you are interested in pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering at VCU, please see the admission requirements and more information about our Graduate Program. If you are in interested in pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biomedical Engineering at VCU, please see the admission requirements. Also, please reach out to Dr. Peterson (clpeterson@vcu.edu) regarding any questions you may have about our lab’s research and open Ph.D. or M.S. positions in the lab. Become a High School Student Researcher
If you are junior in high school, please consider applying to the Dean's Early Research Initiative (DERI) program. The DERI program aims to enhance high school students' exposure to engineering research while, providing opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to develop skills in mentoring. High school students in their junior year who are interested in engineering or computer science may apply for this one year program, which begins in the summer and continues throughout their senior year.
