Mission

The mission of the Rehabilitation Engineering to Advance Ability Lab (REALab) is to improve health, mobility and independence for individuals with physical disabilities. Towards this mission, we take an interdisciplinary approach by combining techniques and knowledge from engineering, physiology, anatomy, and clinical practice. Our current research focuses on improving rehabilitation of neuromuscular function for individuals following spinal cord injury or stroke. Our strengths lie in the areas of neuromodulation, and the biomechanics of human movement.
